The CSR that wrote my service up was very thorough. He explained in detail the service my car needed and offered payment options. Lastly my car service was complete in a timely manner.

Update: 7/29/22 After speaking with someone and clearing up any communication issues with the expected service. They were able to fix all known issues with the car. They took care of any issue i had in a timely and professional manner. They also took the time to explain that originally they were trying to save me money as many customers cannot afford many repairs all at once. I am upgrading them to five stars for their service.

We were in from another state and our car broke down 4 hours from home the tow truck driver recommended this place and I am so thankful he did. The work was fare priced and they squeezed us in despite being very busy and had us in and out within 3 hours. I am so thankful for these guys I would’ve spent a lot more of you all didn’t help us

We have used this business for all 3 cars in our household. Each time we have used this business , the service techs and front desk have been friendly, timely, courteous and explained everything we had needed fixed. We have been here a few times. Sometimes paying cash and sometimes paying with their financing options. I am always approved for $3,000+ with their financing, so i told them i want you to check the whole car and present me with an itemized list of what needs to be fixed. At first they told me $3,000 worth of work needed to be fixed. When we brought it back in for the work Peter told us only like $1,600 was need to fix the car. So we went ahead with the repairs. Shortly after getting the car back we had to take it back in for similar and new issues. Im like ok its an old car so stuff happens. Again i was approved for $3,000 and again i told them please fix everything even things unrelated to why i brought it in, i want everything fixed. This was maybe $2,220 worth of work im not sure exactly. Went to pick the car up and i specifically asked them if they were sure they checked everything because you can only charge the financing 1 time and then you have to pay it off to apply again. They assured me yes everything was good. Now i just had it in there yesterday for radiator work and had to apply for different financing since i have not paid off the last one yet. Again i was approved for $3,200 and again i asked them if they made sure nothing else was broken. Well what do you know we picked it up and drove it home and now (not surprisingly) the air conditioning doesn't work. They refuse to fix it although we were just in there yesterday and they could have easily added the repair cost to the financing if they had done as i instructed them to do. Reading the bad reviews on here i see some other people had the problem of having other issues pop up after going here and also having asked for a full inspection. Pure laziness if you ask me and not customer focused.

Total care is a great auto repair place, they got me in and out took great care of me I took it there for a tune up and my truck runs like a champ I would recommend Total auto care to anyone if you’re in the Southfield area five star auto repair place.

Have had my wife's car for over a week with no update on when it will be fixed. Could not get ahold of anyone on the phone so my wife stopped in yesterday to see what was going on with her vehicle and the service guy was on lunch. She left her info and was told she would get a call back. Call never happened. Today my wife called several times. Service department has a voicemail that is full and dose not except messages. Transferred to another department through the automated phone service and nobody answered. She left a message and never got a call back. Only reason we had our vehicle towed here is because the tow truck driver talked us into it with false promises. Stating this shop is faster than others because they have way better connections. We are unfortunately regretting this decision. Very upsetting that we can't even get a call back with an update. Have no idea when the car will be fixed. Update: after speaking with a service tech that acted like a manager, I thought my wife's car was being taken care of and everything was moving forward. Boy was I fooled and lied to. This individual went mia, and I had to spend 2 hours bombing their phone just to find out he wasn't a manager and got the real manager's number. Once I called him I found out said employee was not a manager, and it was going to take 4 weeks before an insurance inspector was going to come out, and stated I should have stayed within my insurance network. Funny thing is I was going to do that to begin with but their lousy tow truck driver talked us out of it. Stating, they were quicker, better etc... The truck driver knew who our insurance was through. He should have never suggested we use his shop knowing this. Case in point our vehicle sat there for over 2 weeks with no one contacting us giving us any information and to spend hours of our time to track somebody down. Just to find out we were lied to and only to have our car taken to where it was supposed to go to begin with. Do not use them. These people are crooked and liars.

Hello Jim, We do apologize for the experience you had with us. Your experience was with the collision shop not our service center, Unfortunately there is nothing we can do when waiting on insurance companies to come in our shop to inspect the vehicles. Our facility does hold a major part store in house, so yes we do have the advantage on getting a lot of parts quicker than usual as stated by our tow truck driver. We had advised that your insurance company still needed about 2 - 3 weeks to come out for their inspection. Due to the inconveniences you experienced we towed out your vehicle for free to another shop as requested. We do wish you luck on getting your vehicle repaired, Please enjoy the rest of your day,
